So it's the beginning of October. Gonna start getting colder out... so cold that Sonic ain't gonna be that comfy to be standing around outside.

A couple of us kicked around some ideas of a TYPE of place to spend the winter. I figured I'd put it out for the masses to help come up with some locations.

The limiting factor is NO ALCOHOL. Something centrally located would be cool, but I don't think it should be the number one consideration.

Some ideas we came up with quickly:

Some type of coffee house. Obviously, cold weather, good coffee. They're usually pretty small though. Small enough where some nights we could crowd the place.

Golf n Games kinda place. Sounds fun, although I think they serve alcohol.

Donut shop, like a Dunkin Donuts... coffee, donuts, no alcohol. Our first bike nights back home were held a DD...

I dunno, anyone want to post up some ideas.

Anyone feel like scouting out some places over the next couple weeks ?

Oh yeah, some restaurants came up, but some still served alcohol and others were pretty much JUST a restaurant that might not be too keen on letting badass bikers like ourselves (HA!) just sit around order a coke but no food.

I'll be off beginning tomorrow through next week. If there's any suggestions, I should have time to scout them out. Also, if I see anything worthwhile, I'll post up.

WHAT!?!?!?!

NO POLL!?!?!?!

I mean, last poll was like 28 to 14 to move it to another location.  It was clear cut it should have been moved.  And, as everyone can plainly see, we have WAY more attendees because of the move (sarcasm).  I know I see those 28 people and then some at every bike night now...oh wait...maybe I double counted a few (okay, more than a few).  Seriously, a forum poll is the way to go, whether it be an actual "poll" or just speak up, because those people that are vocal on the forum are the same people that show up to bike nights (more sarcasm).

My point being, people polled, people bitched and yet I don't see some of those movers and shakers going to bike nights.  In fact, we've lost several bike night regulars...and some people who don't kick and scream on the forum as loudly as others do.  Sure, squeaky wheel, blah, blah, blah...but maybe that should be taken into account in decisions like this.

As for me, I've been to almost EVERY bike night since TSB started having one.  Literally, I can count how many times I've missed on one hand...just ask angry Bunneh.

Maybe next long trip we do we can poll/ask everyone where they think we should go.  I'm sure that way we'll get more than us 5 to go.

Okay, so I guess now I should be part of the solution instead of part of the problem...

I had thought of Lucky Wishbone on Swan/Broadway (at some locations, they already do a classic car/bike show night).

There's Dunkin Donuts on 22nd/Craycroft.

Crave Espresso Bar (I know nothing on this place, just looked like a good location on the map and neat name)

One of the bagillion Starbucks around town

Maybe the pansy bitches are the ones who screamed about it being moved and then don't show up?

Or what about the pansy bitches that weren't showing up because of the original location?

How are the pansy bitches any different because they aren't going to the new location, from the pansy bitches who weren't going because of where it originally was?

The move resulted in no larger participants in bike night.  Wasn't that the goal?  Shoudln't that have been the goal?

I cant speak for those that shouted to have it moved and still dont show up.

But I can say that I dont consider the move that BIG of a move that is should change anything for anyone. We stayed on the same road for christ sake!

Either way I agree with you on all points except that I feel the move was so small it shouldent have made it unreachable for any "regular".

I have been to about 85% (shit happens to most people) of all bike nights since I have been a menber, I asked that the location be moved I still go even tho I didnt feel the change was "big".

I guess im saying that for me: if the move made you stop going I think its trivial and makes you a pansy bitch. If you scream to start shit and vote to start shit and never show up your just a bitch.

Agreed

Just pointing out that those who were complaining in the first place are NO different than those complaining that it moved.

Lucky Wishbone came up, never eaten there though.

Oliver Twist sounds cool, but does it serve alcohol ?

A coffee house of sorts sounds pretty cool. Cold outside, get a cup of joe and a sandwich.

This place sounds kinda cool just from the description. http://www.bentleyscoffeehouse.com/

Maybe some type of wing place.. Long Wongs by the college, or maybe Wings over Broadway.

Just some ideas to throw in the pot.

Anyone up for heading out a little early on the way to bike night, meet up and check a couple places out ?

I haven't really been going to bike night recently but my .02 cents. Oliver Twist is good but they more beers on tap that i can shake a fist at.

There was a coffee vein next to the wildcat house that even had motorcycle parking, but i think they closed. I think alki is gonna seriously cut down our choices.

Yeah, Oli Twist serves alcohol.

Wings Over Broadway serves alcohol.

The Coffee Vein is closed.  That would have been a good place.  Oliver Twist is a bar.  Raging Sage on Campbell has great coffee, but I think they might have trouble accomodating a bunch of bikers at once.
