Im not looking to be a wheelie machine, or pull outta bike nights and crank miles of wheelies outta the parking lot. I just want to practice clutching 2nd up, and I dont want to be a bother to anyone around who doesnt want to hear a bike at 10K or be bothered by cops. Basically, some place that kinda obsolete with a decent stretch and no traffic.....
I know thats kinda a dream to have but I thought I might ask.
again, this isnt for purposes to ride em down speed way, or pop them in ANY unsafe situation, I just want to learn aswell as getting more familiar/comfortable with my bike

I've seen 2-3 guys practicing in the large lot (think they use it for the motorcycle classes) at the Honda dealer on Palo Verde. Not sure whether they work there or ??? But, it's worth a try.

I was told az honda allows people to ride there after they close. some stunt riders practise at ride now on 22nd and pantano. maybe they can help you out. I know one of them and he is good. he has done and won some competitions.

After one of the bike nights at Mama's, a couple friends and I followed like 5 guys to Aufmuth Motors, there is a road right in front, they were doin them on no traffic ever came by. Then again, it was after midnight, that could have been why .
I just went and watched, I have only had the R6 a little over a month now so I'm sure as hell not gonna try and clutch any wheelies. I never tried wheelies when I was riding the GS500, I doubt it was capable of them anyways.

I've seen people clutch up 100 and 200cc bikes back home with little or no effort. It's all about experience and doing it right. Says the guy with a busted fork seal...

Ok, so maybe I could have done it, but I sure as hell never tried
I can do small, power wheelies on my stock R6 right now, not gonna try clutching them until I get ALOT more comfortable with the bike

dude, trust, if my 260 pound ass can get my R6 to do it, you can deff. power up first. you just gotta be way high in the RPMs, let off and compress the front, and then lean back and rip. Its not powerful enough to snap up for me, but It deff. would snap up for you cause your probably about 70 pounds lighter than me right? But if your not comfortable yet just take it easy

Kinda off topic, but back in Utah we had a friend in our group that we called "Wheelie Jesus" He would start a 1 gear wheelie (sitting down), and accelerate through ALL the gears (sill stitting down) he had mad feel for balance. while he was doing this he could change lanes (with turn signals mind you to be "safe" to other riders lol.)
any wheelie that you could think of this guy could do. hense the nickname "Wheelie Jesus". Very nice guy, not cocky about his skills at all.
He would clutch up wheelies in ANY gear (sitting or standing) and ride them for as long or little as he wanted... 120mph SITTING DOWN clutch up a wheelie and ride it.
His bike of choice ... Gixxer 1000 of course..

| yea man, for sure. I respect other drivers around and such. I think its disrespectful to pull up on busy streets. Mabey not so much when its a completely dead street with no traffic, but still, anything can happen

it all depends on the times you wanna go. I would recommend Church parking lots during the week, and school parking lots on the weekends, assuming no events are taking place. Its really a matter of finding a spot that meets your spatial requirements and evaluating when the right time to use it is. Informing the owner of the lot is never a bad idea.
You may want to try taking Grant west of the freeway and going into the industrial park that is on the north side (Huachuca is one of the streets that goes in) pretty wide open and empty. and SWmotoTire is right there if you get a flat.

Unfortunatly for you most of the places where cops wont bother you stunting a little are hidden on the west side in corporate buisnes parks that are deserted after dark.
