I was kinda wondering if chicken strips can grow back on tires if you haven't been pushing the corners hard for a while.  I thought I had scrubbed most of them off my tires a year ago, but I haven't been riding much since then and it looks like they have gotten bigger or grown back.

I saw a dude attack his tires with a belt sander to get rid of his chicken strips. Don't try this at home kids. :D

I've attacked my tires with a belt sander and Dawn to get rid of the residue from blowing up an oil filter on the straight at Firebird Main:hahaup:gtrd

No, because then everyone wouldn't be able to prove how hardcore they are and how fast they go on the mountain.......

cause all the track guys, who are so superior to those that don't go to trackdays, don't care about chicken strips.

Hmm, I would like it with Lucky Wishbone cocktail sauce.  Make sure they are the thicker chicken strips.

So do chicken strips, the non-edible kind, not matter for anything?  Is it important to make sure they are completely gone, or no?

It doesn't matter if you have "chicken strips" or not. Just get out there, ride, have fun, and ignore the people who talk about needing to get rid of their "chicken strips".....

It only matters in your mind.  The best way to get rid of them is to use the worst form possible when leaning, so lack of strips may mean you don't have good form, or it may mean you have proper form and lean like a mo-fo...

It doesn't matter.

It doen't affect traction or anything.
