i've had nothing but good experience with these guys, evan and phil.

http://www.evansteelperformance.com

if your looking to get the most from your track bike or street bike, i recommend them.  they usually work on race bikes to my knowledge, and therefore i use them for most of my stuff.

anyone else got experience with this company?

Scott Bergen down at the shop is one of the best mechanics you'll ever find. It's the only place I will ever go to get my bike worked on. They work on Ivan Garza's bike, and Ben Thompson's bike for the AMA races among others. Send them the business they deserve it.  I'm having shifting problems with my bike, so it will be in there shortly.

ESP =

reasonable prices

fast work

quality work

great suspension set ups

they like Ducs with tweaks and don't think you should double the price because it comes from Italy.

they work on my old bike - which is funny, the honda dealer took pictures of it but wouldn't put it on the dyno to set the jets.  Punks and one of them is a friend lol

Good people - if you ride it there just be careful of the gravel - you can look very squidish on the approach to the shop.

I like them and will not take my bikes any place else now!!!  EVER!!!

I took the 636 to him a couple of months ago and something was not dialed right, so I let him know about it, and he agreed with me. He had no problem with me bringing it back to him and setting things right. I just ran a 10.93 at 128.35 mph in the 1/4 mile on 5 Oct. 07 with his dyno tuning. I need to get the print out from his laptop though so I can get the measured top speed as well.

Just so everyone knows...I talked with Roger Heemsbergen one time at Arroyo Seco in Deming, NM - http://www.arroyosecoraceway.com/index.html - and he said he wouldnt let anyone but Evan and his people wrench on his bike.  They have always been super nice to me whenever I stop by even though I havent had money to spend there as of yet.  Actually, they even hauled my GPR damper to Laguna Seca with them a few weeks ago and had the GPR reps service my damper and it didnt cost me a penny.  These guys are top notch, standup type dudes and everyone should take their business that way IMO.

Phil

when your right your right. I'm taking it back in for the TB,tps, trim set up. the best part is that he's trading the labor for an extra single sided rear stand that I have!!

a guy with a mohawk is always a really good mechanic!

I can get you a tire and have it installed. What tire and size do you want.

Don't go to cheap, A tire can make you wash out and bike come out from under you in a turn. I would recommend the BASIC Michelin Pilot Power. I will get you some prices tonight. Is the 170 you have the STOCK size. If so you are allowed up to a 180 and I just happen to have a D207RR rear in a 180 in stock. For a Dunlop it is a sweet tire. It is very similar to the Pilot Power 2CT. Most of the racers in 2004 ish that ran Dunlops ran the D207RR cuz it was grippy yet had good mileage wear. $125.00 including mount and balance.

The reason why i want a cheap tire is that i am going to sell my bike soon. $125 is a very good price. It seems like you work at the motorcycle shop or something. Let me know when you have time for this.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #222222"Oh, one more question. How's Dunlop qualifiers compare to the D207RRs.

i know i'm a little late on this, but i've got a used pilot power in 180 size that i'm willing to let go for $75.00 with some decent life left on it.  if you'd rather get a new tire, then definetly hit ninjaball up.  the $ that he's got on the tire is a smoking deal.

I personally think the Qualifier's suck. Personal opinion though. I think they were a very bad attemp at comparrison tire to compete with the standard Pilot Power. I ran D207RR and D208's for many years until the P.P.'s came out in '04.

If your going to throw a tire on so you can sell then you should think about Dirk's used P.P. (haha P.P., I made a funny)( Dirk has P.P., a little one but still a P.P.) lol
