I decided to take advantage of the ESP tune up special and dropped my bike off on Monday. My daughter gave me a ride to to pick it up on Tuesday and the fun began. On the way to ESP, her car stopped pushing out cold air and as we reached ESP, I noticed the water temperature getting close to the red. Phil and John (I think?) were still there, it was 6pm and they were ready to close up shop after I took care of my bill. I asked Phil & John if I could use some water, they brought out a gallon of antifreeze and figured out that there was a hole in the upper radiator hose. No big deal, could patch it or get a new hose - unfortunately, my daughter had just locked the keys in the car. Phil, John and I played at breaking in the car for at least a 1/2 hour, but couldn't pop the locks. Then John and Phil used a plumber's snake and snagged the keys, pulling them through the window.

Ok, that problem solved.

I wanted to patch the radiator hose and let Phil and John take off, it was past 6:30pm. Phil insisted (great mechanic's do) that I should ride up to AutoZone and get a new hose. So, on my newly tuned bike with the holed radiator hose sticking out of the fairing, I rode up to AutoZone. Of course, right before I got there, the hose popped out of my fairing right in the middle of Campbell by Irvington. Sheesh! Alright, finally get to AutoZone, wait 15 minutes in line to get to the parts counter and they don't have the part. Guy at AutoZone was great - found a universal hose and a kit in case I wanted to splice it. Picked up some antifreeze, new clamps, the old hose and the new hose - tucked everything away as well as possible on the bike and headed back to ESP. Phil put the new hose on, added the antifreeze, check for leaks and made sure the car was set. NOTE: This was now after 7pm.

When I asked Phil what I owed him for all the extra help and assistance, he would not take ANYTHING!

John - thank you for the help and your mad skills with the plumbing snake.

Phil - thank you for all your help and making sure we fixed the car the best way possible.

ESP ROCKS and they have FANTASTIC PEOPLE!

P.S. Phil/John - let me know where your favorite restaurants are.....

hell yes ESP is the shiznit.

Every time I go there or call them, they are the nicest most helpful dudes. I ask a lot of questions and Im probably very annoying, but they just keep being cool.

Evan has helped with my suspension, helped me with my exhaust valve cervo removal dealio, hooked me up with tires!!!

He even let me buy a set of race plastics for a killer price, let me take them home only to find out they didnt fit and let me bring them back the very next day for a full refund.

so yeah, As long as I live in tucson and ESP is around, they will always have my business when it comes to mechanical stuff that I wont do or tires or my annoying little questions.
