I used the term 'You' in the generic sense.
Please update 'you' to y'all.
We know who you were talking about. How the hell does that make it any more "cool" ?

First LOL some of those i found funny
Second we all know where i stand on this issue.
I just wish people would take the time out to educate themselves about guns before they make the personal decision to carry/own them. But don't condemn me for my decision. Lets not forget chance favors the prepared and i'm always prepared!
Kmurray, I agree with a lot of what you said but one of the major problems laid out in your post is a direct result people not being educated on the use and danger of guns. I have been around them my entire life, loaded guns in the house as a small child but i never would dare touch them with out my father's permission because of the respect i had for him and the weapons. I was educated from day one and it was drilled in to me like history in school. I feel that if more people understood how to handle/treat guns with care and respect they deserve less accidents would occur.

+1. I don't believe the second amendment was meant to guarantee every American the right to sleep with a gun on their nightstand, or blow away the guy robbing the local 7-11.
Criminals wouldn't be able to get guns if their wasn't a legal demand for them among civilians, as the distribution would be limited to police and military.
I'm not saying anyone should take anyone's guns away, just that maybe people shouldn't have had them in the first place.

+1 on your +1 post
Would you say that there's a great many people who ride the NRA style 2nd amendment cut'n'pastes that have no business being around a firearm, let alone owning one ?

There are plenty of sheep in the world who will decide which bandwagon to follow and put the same bumper stickers on their wagon...and that goes for any topic.
However, for the most part, people I know who are NRA members and/or CCW permit holders are very responsible gun owners.
Its the "Keep Honking, I'm Reloading" bumper sticker types that I worry about. (The first reference to bumper stickers was metaphoric, the last was literal)

Given that the proverbial "toothpaste is already out of the tube", I think any effort to recall them at this point would be a bad move. People would react badly, and it would take decades before illegal guns were actually hard to get.

What is a NRA 2nd amendment cut-n-paster ?? As opposed to a 'regular' cut-n-paster ???

Y'all might want to check out the facts here instead of some of the fairy tales being posted here.
